Sometimes things don’t go as we plan, and that can mean not having enough funds in our checking account to cover a retail transaction. If that happens it can be embarrassing, not to mention costly, when it comes to merchant fees. To help members avoid this occasional problem, Colorado Credit Union offers Overdraft Privilege. This value-added service allows you to overdraw your account up to a preset limit depending on the type of checking account you have when an account has insufficient funds to cover a transaction.
In addition to checks, the program includes ATM transactions, Visa Debit Card transactions and automatic electronic payments (ACH). Fees for check, ACH electronic items and ATM/Debit Card transactions are $31 per item.
